At Haram Exports, we are dedicated to ensuring that your premium handcrafted equestrian gear and leather goods reach you safely, securely, and as quickly as possible. Because we cater to a global clientele from our manufacturing hub in Kanpur, India, our shipping processes are designed to handle international logistics efficiently. Please read this comprehensive Shipping Policy to understand our processing times, shipping methods, and international delivery terms.

1. Order Processing Times

All orders are processed and dispatched from our facilities in Kanpur, India. Please note the following regarding our processing times:

  • In-Stock Items: Orders containing standard, in-stock items are typically processed and shipped within 2 to 4 business days (excluding weekends and Indian national holidays).
  • Handcrafted & Custom Orders: Because our premium saddles and specialized leather tack are meticulously handcrafted, custom or made-to-order items require additional production time. Processing for these items generally takes between 2 to 4 weeks depending on the complexity of the order. You will be notified of the estimated production time at checkout or via email shortly after placing your order.
  • Order Cut-off Times: Orders placed after 12:00 PM (IST) will be treated as having been received on the following business day.

Note: Processing time is completely separate from the shipping/transit time. Total delivery time equals processing time plus shipping time.

2. Shipping Partners and Methods

To guarantee that our high-value leather goods arrive in pristine condition, we exclusively partner with world-class international couriers. We do not use standard postal services for international shipping.

  • Primary Logistics Partners: We ship globally using DHL Express and FedEx.
  • Service Level: All international shipments are sent via express or priority air freight to minimize transit times and ensure secure handling.
  • Signature Requirement: Due to the high value of our equestrian gear, most shipments will require a signature upon delivery. We strongly advise using a shipping address where someone will be available to sign for the package during standard business hours.

3. Shipping Rates and Transit Times

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on the total weight of your order and your destination country.

  • Estimated Transit Times: Once dispatched from our Kanpur facility, international transit times via DHL or FedEx typically range from 4 to 10 business days depending on your exact location and local customs clearance processes.
  • Delays: While we strive to meet all estimated delivery times, Haram Exports cannot be held liable for delays caused by severe weather conditions, international customs clearance processes, or carrier-specific operational disruptions.

4. Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes (International Orders)

This is a critical section for all international buyers. When ordering from Haram Exports, you are the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of your destination country.

  • Import Duties & Taxes: Your order may be subject to import duties, customs tariffs, and local sales taxes (such as VAT or GST) once a shipment reaches your destination country. Haram Exports has no control over these charges and we cannot predict what they may be.
  • Customer Responsibility: All customs fees, import duties, and taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer. These charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost applied at our checkout.
  • Customs Clearance: The shipping carrier (DHL or FedEx) will typically contact you directly to collect these fees prior to final delivery. Refusal to pay these charges will result in the package being abandoned or returned. If the package is returned due to unpaid duties, the return shipping costs and any original shipping fees will be deducted from your final refund.

5. P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO Addresses

Because we use private expedited carriers (DHL/FedEx) and require a signature upon delivery, we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, APO, FPO, or DPO addresses. You must provide a valid residential or commercial street address at checkout. Orders placed with a P.O. Box will be placed on hold until we can reach you for an alternative address, which may delay your shipment.

6. Order Tracking

Once your order has been carefully packed and handed over to the courier, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email containing your unique tracking number.

You can use this tracking number on the respective carrier's website (DHL or FedEx) to monitor your shipment's journey in real-time. Please allow up to 24-48 hours for the tracking information to become active in the courier's system after receiving your confirmation email.

7. Incorrect Shipping Addresses

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the shipping address entered at checkout is 100% accurate and complete. If you realize you have made an error in your shipping address, please contact us immediately at help.haramexports@gmail.com.

If an order is shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer, Haram Exports cannot be held responsible for lost packages. If the package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping the item.

8. Damaged, Lost, or Stolen Packages

We take great care in packaging our saddles and leather accessories to withstand international transit. However, issues can occasionally occur.

  • Damaged in Transit: If your order arrives damaged, please retain all original packaging materials and the damaged item. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the damaged box and product. We will file a claim with the carrier and arrange for a replacement or refund.
  • Lost or Stolen: If your tracking shows the package was delivered but you have not received it, please check with neighbors or your building's reception. If it is still missing, contact us. We will initiate a formal investigation with DHL or FedEx. Please note that Haram Exports is not strictly liable for packages that are confirmed as successfully delivered by the carrier to the provided address.
