At Haram Exports, we are deeply committed to providing the global equestrian community with the highest quality handcrafted leather goods and saddles. Because of the premium, specialized, and often custom nature of our products, we maintain a strict No Return and No Exchange policy. All sales made on our website are considered final.
We urge all our customers to carefully review their orders, check sizing guides, and confirm color choices before completing their purchase. This comprehensive policy outlines the reasons behind our strict guidelines and what exceptions apply in the rare event of a manufacturing defect.
1. All Sales Are Final
Once an order has been placed, processed, and shipped from our manufacturing facility in Kanpur, India, it cannot be returned or exchanged for a refund, store credit, or alternative item. By completing your purchase at checkout, you acknowledge and agree to this strict No Return Policy.
2. Why We Do Not Accept Returns
Our zero-return policy is not just a business rule; it is a commitment to the quality and safety of the gear we provide to our riders. We enforce this policy for several critical reasons:
- Equine Hygiene and Biosecurity: Equestrian gear comes into direct contact with horses. To prevent the spread of skin conditions, equine viruses, and other biological hazards, we cannot accept returns on items that may have been placed on a horse or stored in a stable. When you buy from Haram Exports, you are guaranteed to receive a 100% brand new, untouched, and sanitary product.
- Custom Craftsmanship: Many of our saddles and premium leather accessories are made-to-order or highly specialized. Because they are meticulously handcrafted and often tailored to specific requests, they cannot be restocked or resold to another customer.
- International Logistics & Customs: We ship globally using premium express couriers (DHL/FedEx). The complexities of international transit, two-way shipping costs, and Indian import/export customs regulations make reverse logistics practically and financially unfeasible without compromising the integrity of the high-value leather goods.
3. Natural Characteristics of Leather
Please note that all our products are handcrafted from premium top-grain and full-grain natural leathers. Natural leather is a living material that will have unique characteristics. Slight variations in color, texture, natural grain marks, insect bites, or minor scars are inherent to genuine leather and are NOT considered defects. Therefore, requests for refunds or replacements based on these natural leather characteristics will be strictly denied.
4. Order Cancellations
We understand that mistakes can happen during checkout. If you need to cancel or modify your order, you must do so within exactly 24 hours of placing the order. Please email us immediately at help.haramexports@gmail.com with your Order Number.
If 24 hours have passed, or if the item has already entered the production phase or been handed over to our shipping partners, the order cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded under any circumstances.
5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
While we do not accept standard returns for buyer's remorse or sizing issues, we stand proudly behind the craftsmanship of our Kanpur artisans. Every item undergoes a rigorous multi-point quality check before it leaves our facility. However, if an error occurs on our end, we will make it right.
If you receive an item that is structurally defective, damaged during international transit, or completely incorrect (e.g., wrong model or color sent), you must follow this protocol:
- Contact us via email within 48 hours of the package being marked as "Delivered" by the courier.
- Include your Order Number in the subject line.
- Provide clear, high-resolution photographs and a detailed description of the defect, damage, or incorrect item.
- Keep all original packaging, tags, and paperwork intact.
Our quality assurance team will review your claim. If the fault lies with Haram Exports or the shipping carrier, we will work with you to provide a suitable resolution, which may include a free replacement or store credit. We reserve the right to determine the best course of action on a case-by-case basis. Any claims made after the 48-hour delivery window will be automatically rejected.
6. Refused Packages and Unpaid Customs Duties
As stated in our Shipping Policy, all international buyers are responsible for paying their local import duties, customs fees, and taxes. If a package is returned to Haram Exports because the customer refused to pay these fees, or if the customer provided an incorrect address and was unreachable for delivery, no refund will be issued. The package will be considered abandoned.
7. Sizing and Fit Liability
The customer is solely responsible for selecting the correct size and specifications for their horse and themselves. We provide details and measurements to assist in this process. Haram Exports assumes no liability for saddles or tack that do not fit perfectly upon arrival, and such sizing issues do not qualify for an exception to our No Return policy.
